ANDRITZ acquires Allen-Sherman-Hoff

International technology group ANDRITZ has acquired U.S.-based Allen-Sherman-Hoff from Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc. The transaction, the amount of which was not disclosed, is aimed at strengthening ANDRITZ’s position in the boiler service and modernization sector.

Allen-Sherman-Hoff specializes in ash handling systems for power plants, biomass facilities, and pulp and paper mills. The company is headquartered in Exton, Pennsylvania (USA) and reports annual revenues of around €30 million.

According to Henrik Wikstedt, Senior Vice President of ANDRITZ Recovery & Power Service, the acquisition will expand the company’s portfolio and enable it to offer customers comprehensive solutions for more efficient boiler operations.
