In 2018, Andritz increased sales by 2.4 %

In 2018, sales of Andritz Group amounted to 6 031.5 million euros, which is 2.4% higher than in the previous year (2017.: 5 889.1 million euros). The business of the service Group also developed very successfully and accounted for 36% of total sales (2017: 34%).

For 2018, the company has taken orders for 6,646.EUR 2 million. Thus, a new record was set. The indicator exceeded the level of 2017 by 19.1 %. However, the backlog of orders at the end of last year was significantly higher – by 11% or 7 084.3 million euros.

Net profit decreased to EUR 222.0 million (2017: EUR 263.0 million).

According to the President and CEO of Andritz AG Wolfgang Leitner, ” despite the decline in revenues, the management of the company remained quite the results of the previous year. High growth of orders once again confirms our leadership both technological and market. The companies we acquired in 2018 allow us to further strengthen our competitive position, especially in the service sector. Also in 2019, we will continue to invest in the development of the Andritz group’s long-term competitiveness”
