The plan for reforestation exceeded in Penza region

In the forests of the Penza region silvicultural 2018 season ended.

Reforestation in the region was carried out on the area of 1391 hectares, which is (102.6%) of the plan. Forest crops were created on the area of 827 hectares or 101.1% of the plan, the promotion of natural forest regeneration on the area of 564 hectares or 104.7% was carried out. Forest crops on the area of 1873 hectares (100.6% of the plan) were supplemented.

In total, more than 7 million seedlings of trees and shrubs were planted during the forest season. In the framework of public actions in territory of the Penza region planted 180 thousand PCs of seedlings and saplings of tree and shrub species.

When planting the forest, the standard planting material is used, grown in forest nurseries and greenhouses of the region from the seeds of local populations, the most adapted to the natural conditions of our forest seed area.
