On December 03, 2018, Soyuz-Center will put into operation a new production line as part of the final stage of the investment project “creation of a Dstp plant with a capacity of 150 thousand m3 per year”.

The company is part of the industrial group” Union”, founded in 1952 as a small match factory. Since December 09, 2016 JSC “Plitspichprom “officially renamed into LLC Kaluga diversified wood processing plant” SOYUZ-Center “(hereinafter LLC kmdk”SOYUZ-Center”). These changes are due to the significant expansion of the company’s competence in recent years.

Currently, OOO CMDC “UNION Center” is a large diversified company, whose products are in demand both in the domestic market and abroad – the product is supplied in 39 regions of the Russian Federation and in Germany, Belgium, France, India, Israel and other countries.

The main types of products: chipboard, fiberboard, interior doors, lumber, mouldings and glued wooden products.

“We are confident in the future and are aimed at new achievements,” said Alexander Govorushko, General Director of the Soyuz – Center. “And we are proud that our work makes a contribution to improving the well-being of the region and the economy of Russia.”

The Kaluga multi-profile timber processing plant “SOYUZ-Center” is the largest logger and wood processor in the Kaluga region. Expected indicators for 2018: the volume of timber harvesting will exceed 350 thousand m3 , 3.43 million seedlings were planted. The planned volume of timber harvesting for 2019 is more than 400 thousand m3.

Since 2014 within the Complex program of modernization of production on the basis of LLC kmdk “SOYUZ-Center” several investment projects in the woodworking industry of the Kaluga region are realized:

“Organization of production of interior doors” (design capacity – more than 118 thousand door leaves per year, the project was implemented in 2014).);
“Organization of production of sawn timber and molded products” (design capacity – more than 51 thousand m3  per year, the project was implemented in 2015);
“Organization of production of Dstp with a capacity of 150 thousand m3  per year” (start of production – December 2018).
The implementation of these investment projects in a single complex more than doubled the degree of development and processing of harvested wood.

Waste generated in the production of lumber and molded products, in the form of chips and sawdust are used in the production of Dstp. Unsuitable in the production of waste in the form of bark are used to produce heat in order to provide technology and for heating buildings and structures.

In addition, the created woodworking production allows to use up to 80% of low-grade wood in the technology, as well as wood damaged by pests and diseases of the forest and harvested during sanitary logging.

The complex of projects provides a full cycle of production from logging to production of the finished product.

To create a permanent forest resource base between the Ministry of forestry of the region and LLC kmdk “SOYUZ-Center signed two lease agreements for forest areas for timber harvesting for 49 years.
