Russia reduced its export of sawn timber by 3.9% in January-May 2021

In January-May 2021, the volume of sawn timber exported from Russia reduced by 3.9% YoY and totaled 8.78 million m³, as reported by the Federal Customs Service of Russia. The value of foreign sawn timber shipments from Russia increased by 21.5% YoY to $2.069 billion over the reporting period.

Roundwood exports increased both by volume — by 16.8% YoY to 5.848 million m³ – and by value — by 24.6% YoY to $440.4 million.
