In January-July 2021, Russia reduced its export of sawn timber by 3.1%

In January-July 2021, the volume of sawn timber exported from Russia reduced by 3.1% YoY and totaled 18.077 million m³, as reported by the Federal Customs Service of Russia. The value of foreign sawn timber shipments from Russia increased by 37.4% YoY to $3.5 billion over the reporting period.

Roundwood exports increased both by volume — by 11.7% YoY to 8.918 million m³ — and by value — by 18.5% YoY to $651.5 million.
