In January-August 2021, Russia reduced its export of sawn timber by 4.5%

In January-August 2021, the volume of sawn timber exported from Russia reduced by 4.5% YoY and totaled 20.51 million m³, as reported by the Federal Customs Service of Russia. The value of foreign sawn timber shipments from Russia increased by 40% YoY to $4.1 billion over the reporting period.

Roundwood exports increased both by volume — by 4.4% YoY to 9.88 million m³ — and by value — by 13.3% YoY to $727 million.
