Krasnoyarsk region will receive more than 153 million rubles for the purchase of forestry and forest fire equipment

Deputy Minister of natural resources and ecology of the Russian Federation Ivan Valentik, head of the Federal Forestry Agency, is on a two – day working visit to Krasnoyarsk Krai. On February 26, 2019, the head of the Department held a meeting on the effectiveness of the execution of the delegated powers in the field of forest relations by the regions of the Siberian Federal district. The event was attended by the Chairman of the government of the Krasnoyarsk region Yuri Lapshin, acting head of the Department of Forestry of the SFD Alma Kurgenyan, heads of Executive authorities of the regions of the SFD, representatives of institutions subordinated to the Federal Forestry Agency, The Legislative Assembly of the region, law enforcement agencies.

Ivan Valentik noted the significant changes in the volume of financing of the forest industry, which occurred this year in connection with the implementation of the Federal project “forest Conservation” within the framework of the national project “Ecology”.

“These are quite significant changes in our work. We managed to achieve more than 22 billion rubles to finance the activities of the national project – the acquisition of forest fire and forestry equipment, reforestation,” said Ivan Valentik.

During the meeting, an agreement on cooperation in the field of forest relations between the Federal Forestry Agency and the government of the Krasnoyarsk territory was signed. The document provides for cooperation in all areas of use, protection, protection, reforestation, and afforestation. For these purposes, in 2019, the Federal budget will send almost 1.15 billion rubles to the region and another 555 million rubles will be added from the regional budget.

In particular, within the framework of the national project this year, the region will receive 153.1 million rubles from the Federal budget for the purchase of forestry and forest fire equipment. This will significantly improve the material and technical base of the industry.

Ivan Valentik focused the attention of the meeting participants on important innovations in forest legislation, which came into force and regulate the issues of compensatory reforestation, the legal status of protective forests, the collection of deadwood by the local population, the openness of information about forests.

In addition, the Deputy Minister of natural resources and ecology of the Russian Federation recommended the regions to actively use tools to increase the profitability of the forest industry. As a positive example, he cited the experience of the Krasnoyarsk territory, which in 2019 became the leader among the subjects of Russia in the exchange trading of forestry.
