Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia: the share of counterfeit furniture is growing in Russia

According to the estimates of the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia, the share of illegal Russian furniture increased in 2020 and reached almost 20% of the total market, or about 40 billion rubles. According to the Association’s data, the highest share of illegal goods reaching 40% is registered in the segments of case goods (bedrooms, kitchens, entryways) and upholstered furniture (sofas, armchairs). The Association notes that the share of the shady market was calculated based on the consumption of particleboards and MDF boards in Russia.
