Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia: In H1 2023, the Russian furniture output increased

Based on the H1 2023 performance, the furniture output in physical terms grew by 8.6% YoY, up to 28.8 million units, as reported by Kommersant referencing data from the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia. Particularly considerable growth occurred in the production of kitchen furniture (15%), metal beds (44%), and entrance halls accessories (26%).

According to estimates by the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia, the furniture output also increased by 4.7% YoY in monetary terms in January–June 2023, up to 179.5 billion rubles, while the share of foreign-made furniture in the market dropped from 41% in 2022 to 25%.
