Arkhbum JSC will launch the 1st line of a new plant in Ulyanovsk in the beginning of September 2021

The first line of the Ulyanovsk site of Arkhbum JSC will be already launched in the beginning of September this year – all required infrastructure for this has been built, the main equipment is already in operation (5-layer BHS corrugator (Germany), storage and retrieval system for the corrugated board, two BOBST converting lines) and the products are being produced. Irina Sherstneva, CEO of Arkhbum, announced this during the site visit by Marina Alekseeva, Acting Chairman of Government of Ulyanovsk region, Dmitriy Vavilin, Acting Head of Ulyanovsk city, and Sergey Vasin, CEO of Corporation for Ulyanovsk Region Development JSC.

Irina Sherstneva also told about future development of Arkhbum JSC. “Vladimir Krupchak, Investment Director of Pulp Mill Holding GmbH, took a decision regarding the simultaneous construction of the 2nd and 3rd lines of the plant in Ulyanovsk, – specified CEO. – The plant will reach the full capacity in 2023.”

As detailed by Alexey Vtoriy, Deputy CEO on Construction of Arkhbum JSC, the 2nd and 3rd lines of the Ulyanovsk plant will include additional storages for raw materials and finished products – more than 20 thousand m2 in total, as well as new equipment – 4 converting lines, pre-feeders and palletizers for all lines, transport system, additional corrugator for 7-layer corrugated board production.

The total cost of the investment project of Arkhbum JSC for the construction of a new plant for the production of corrugated products is estimated at 4.7 billion rubles, 1.7 billion rubles of which is for equipment. The annual capacity of the new production facility in Ulyanovsk will be 192 million m².
