Arkhbum to launch new corrugated packaging plant in Moscow region in September

Arkhbum OJSC (affiliate company of Arkhangelsk pulpmill) will launch the first line of its Istra capacity (Moscow region) on September 20 with rated capacity of 200 million m2 per year. Investment scope of the project is €60.2 million.

As Arkhbum Chief Development Officer Irina Galakhova said, since April this new industrial site is already working in test mode. The production line of the first stage includes corrugator made by Germany company BHS, three processing lines, multi-drop gluing line, transportation and packing systems made by producers from Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, France, and the US.

Istra affiliate of Arkhbum also owns industrial warehouse with total area exceeding 20,000 m2 which is used for optimizing logistics of Arkhangelsk pulpmill and Arkhbum LLC – exclusive distributor of Kiev board mill hygiene products in Russia. We remind that both Kiev and Arkhangelsk mill belong to Austrian Pulp Mill Holding.

In Istra, another affiliate company is also located, which is Arkhbum Tissue Group. This company is now implementing hygiene products mill project in Kaluga region.
