Segezha Group is building a new railway spur on the premises of Lesosibirsky LDK No.1

10 November 2020 ` 19:04

This is the third stage of implementing an investment project on Building Non-Public Railway Tracks at Lesosibirsky LDK No.1.

Three railway spurs have been laid at previous stages, as well as an encircling route with the total length of 3 km. In fall 2020, the plant is beginning to design and build the railway track with the length of about 1 km with an installed buffer stop. Work completion is scheduled for January 2021. The tentative time of railway tracks commissioning is July 2021.

Project implementation will make it possible to increase sawn timber, chips and wood pellets shipping volumes, and also seamlessly accept and side-track rolling stock waiting for loading and support documentation execution, avoiding additional costs of railcar detention.
