Segezha Group acquired Giprobum CJSC, an institution specializing in the design of pulp and paper mills, in early 2020. At the premises of the institute in St. Petersburg, the Group is creating its own “think tank” for improving the speed and quality of implementation of the company’s investment projects.

Giprobum CJSC is involved in a number of projects at Segezhsky PPM in Karelia, namely: installation and commissioning of a hydropulper, upgrade of the causticization and lime reburning shop, as well as of equipment using sulfuric acid. Work on technical specifications for the upgrade of production processes at Lesosibirskiy LDK No. 1, Vyatsky Plywood Mill, and Onega Sawmills, as well as for the renovation of Sokol Pulp and Paper Mill including the construction of a new papermaking machine, is in progress.

Earlier, the company completed a new cardboard machine at Ust-Ilimsk Pulp and Paper Mill implemented together with Sibgiprobum and Archgibprobum.

As at the beginning of 2021, Giprobum signed new contracts for a total of 112 million rubles, of which for 41.5 million rubles – with third-party clients.
