The Greenpeace Forest Forum reports, citing the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1318 dated October 12, 2019, that the minimum payment rates for all types of forest use will be increased in 2021 by 4% compared to the rates of 2020. It states that the payment rates established by tables 1 and 2 of the RF Government Decree No. 310 dated May 22, 2007, are to be applied in 2021 with the coefficient of 2.72, and all the other rates – with the coefficient of 2.35. According to the RF Government Decree No. 1363 dated November 11, 2017, in 2020, they were applied with the coefficients of 2.62 and 2.26 respectively. Thus, in 2021, the minimum payment rates for timber harvesting will increase by 3.8% compared to 2020, and for other types of forest use – by 4%.
