20 January 2023 ` 17:14

With its Decree No. 2405 dated December 23, 2022, the Russian Government set new multiplying factors to the rates of forest use fees for 2023–2026. Next year, the rates for timber harvesting will increase by 6.0% compared to 2022. Multiplying factors to the rates of forest use fees (originally established by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 310 dated May 22, 2007) are usually set by additional government decrees for a three-year period, separately for each year. Previously, such rates were set for 2021–2023 by Decree No. 1318 dated October 12, 2019, and the factor for for timber harvesting in 2023 was to be 3.9%.
