Kronospan has announced its plans to build an OSB production plant with the capacity of 280,000 m3 per year in Ukraine

As Interfax-Ukraine reports, the company is going to build an OSB plant on the existing particleboard production site in Novovolynsk (Ukraine).

On April 25, 2019, the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will consider the project for a loan of up to 116 million euros – 75 million euros for the construction of the OSB production plant and 41 million euros for the refinancing of Kronospan UA.

The company is also going to create a cluster for furniture producers, build a new transformer substation, install a biomass CHP plant and an electrostatic precipitator (WESP) to reduce dust concentrations and formaldehyde emissions. The total cost of the project is 168 million euros.
