Krono Group, Kronospan and Sorbes fined for €42.8 million in Ukraine for price-fixing

Kronospan has temporarily laid off €300 million investments into two new MDF and OSB lines in Novovolynsk, Ukraine, as Antimonopoly committee of Ukraine has decided to fine several participants of local furniture makers association, MebelDerevProm, for raw wood price-fixing agreements. Kronospan UA, an affiliate of the Austrian group, is among MebelDerevProm’s members.

In total, fourteen members of MebelDerevProm have been fined for 419 million hryvnas (€42.8 million) for price-fixing.
