DOK Kalevala’s management team declared the tentative dates of plant restoration

30 May 2025 ` 18:20

Artur Parfenchikov, Governor of Karelia, visited DOK Kalevala to assess its readiness to resume operations after a major fire that occurred in April 2024.

At this meeting, Valery Puchkov, Director at DOK Kalevala, reported that new machinery was being delivered to the enterprise at that moment.

“The time of full plant start-up depends on equipment delivery. Some of it has already reached the plant. We are planning to install everything by mid-May. After the installation, we will perform the operations stipulated in regulations and start ramping up to reach the design capacity. In our estimation, this will take at least three months,” Valery Puchkov noted.

The plant director emphasized that they were able to keep the team despite this major industrial accident.
