DOK Kalevala, one of Russia’s largest OSB manufacturers, has fully restored production and is returning to its output levels before the incident, the press service of the Government of the Republic of Karelia reports. In late April 2024, a technological accident caused a fire covering 600 m², forcing the plant to temporarily suspend operations.

The Government of Karelia granted the company a three-year deferral on property tax payments totaling 31.3 million rubles and helped secure an industrial loan for new equipment.

During the downtime, the plant retained all jobs and continued paying employee salaries.
