Wood pellets export from Russia increased by 21.9% in 1Q 2021

According to the Federal Customs Service, wood pellets export from Russia in 1Q 2021 increased by 21.9% YoY to 527,200 tons.

The main buyers of Russian pellets in January 2021 were: Denmark — 205,700 tons (+21.4%), Belgium — 89,600 tons (+170.4% YoY), South Korea — 52,800 tons (+25% YoY).

In value terms, Russian pellets export grew by 12.1% YoY to $ 64.67 million.
