– In St. Petersburg, Finnish company Skaala opened a plant for the production of energy-efficient wooden windows.

– In case of state procurement contracts, Russian producers of furniture may count on a 15% preference in price compared to foreign manufacturers.

– The management of Volga newsprint mill (Balakhna, Nizhny Novgorod region) decided to raise newsprint prices from 1 March 2015 by 6-15%.

– On March 5, 2015, Swiss Krono Rus LLC has received positive conclusion of state expertise for design documentation of its OSB mill project in Krasnokamsk, Perm region.

– Vera company is planning to open a pellet factory in Gvardeisk, Kaliningrad region, worth RUR 318.9 million.

– The management of Kastamonu plant in Tatarstan held a series of meetings with potential suppliers of raw materials from the Kirov region.

– On March 2, 2015, the government regulation dated January 16, No. 17, “On approval of the form of the forest declaration” was officially published, as well as the order to abolish the previous similar document. The most important novelty is that the new regulation officially allows to hand in logging declarations both for the whole allowed annual harvesting volume and for each individual cut.
