Russia reduced its export of sawn timber by 9.6% in 1Q 2021

In 1Q 2021, the volume of sawn timber exported from Russia reduced by 9.6% YoY and totaled 4.64 million m³, as reported by the Federal Customs Service of Russia. The value of foreign sawn timber shipments from Russia increased by 5.6% YoY to $1.027 billion over the reporting period.

Roundwood exports increased both by volume — by 16.9% YoY to 3.39 million m³ – and by value — by 28.1% YoY to $259.2 million.
