27 August 2025 ` 16:00

The Sveza Tyumen plywood mill is halting production and entering conservation mode, reports the news portal 72.RU. According to the regional Department of Labor and Employment, the company has notified authorities of its plan to lay off 323 employees in stages between August and October 2025.

Employees report that August will be their final working month. Representatives from the local employment center have already visited the mill to advise staff on registering for unemployment benefits.

Sveza has declined to comment on the situation.
