Preliminary programme and first speakers of Russian Wood & Timber 2014 announced

The fifth international conference of Adam Smith Institute “Russian Wood & Timber 2014” will be held on 1-3 April 2014 in InterContinental Tverskaya hotel in Moscow.

International “Russian Wood & Timber 2014” conference is the only non-state forestry forum in Russia that collects the largest number of forest companies and which is focused solely at the forest business.

This year, there will be new formats of business communication: individual one-on-one meetings with the managers of forest companies and round tables on such topics as public-private partnership in the forest industry, biofuel sector development etc.

The program of the forum will also include:
-analysis of domestic and international market of different types of products, with a focus on lumber and wood-based panels;
-debates of top managers of forest companies and policy-makers of the industry on practical steps for development of a profitable and investment-attractive timber market and industry in Russia;
-practical cases of investment projects with the consideration of existing and planned projects and investments in the forest industry;
-discussion on the development of the internal market of wood products: evaluation of the potential of existing and new products, the matter of raw material accessibility, indicators and outlook for construction and furniture industry development.
