Mayr-Melnhof Holz has sold a sawmill in the Leningrad region

Aspek-Les LLC (Aspek Group, Udmurtia) became the owner of 100% of the authorised capital of the sawmill LLC Mayr-Melnhof Holz Yefimovsky (MM-Yefimovsky, formerly an enterprise of the Austrian group Mayr-Melnhof Holz GmbH) in Boksitogorsk district, Leningrad region.

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the relevant changes were made on 30 December 2022.

The press-service of administration of the region specifies, that after the change of the proprietor of the plant the enterprise works according to the profile. Agreements on timber harvesting with legal entities continue to be fulfilled. At the same time no staff reduction is planned at the company, moreover, an expansion of the staff is envisaged.

According to the company’s website, Aspek Group is one of the largest holdings in Udmurtia, uniting more than 15 enterprises in the construction, automotive business, and agriculture.

Mayr-Melnhof Holz together with PJSC LSR Group put the MM-Efimovsky woodworking plant into operation in April 2009. Investments in the construction of the plant amounted to €80 million. The production capacity of the plant is 380,000 m³ of lumber and 57,600 tonnes of pellets per year. The developer LSR Group exited the business in 2016. In 2017, MM-Efimovsky started production of fuel pellets.
