Kronospan GmbH will build another plant for the production of materials for furniture in the Moscow region
According to the press service of the Ministry of investment and innovation in the Moscow region, the commercial Director of Kronospan GmbH in Germany David Brenner during the presentation of the investment potential of the Moscow region in Vienna announced plans to build another enterprise for the production of components for furniture in the Moscow region.
As the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow region Denis Butsaev, who headed the delegation of the Moscow region, said, “Kronoshpan is one of the key partners of the Government of the region in the creation of the first furniture cluster.”
“We have been working in Russia since 2002 and have already invested more than one billion euros in business. We have opened three large factories. Two of them are located in the Moscow region, which we are going to develop,” said David Brenner. In the next two years the company plans to increase capacity of the company Kronospan Elektrogorsk in the area of about 60 hectares. It was also decided to start cooperation with furniture companies at the existing enterprise in Elektrogorsk on an area of about 128 hectares.
In 2005, the urban area of Yegoryevsk, the company “Kronospan” opened a plant for the production of formalin and resin binder. In 2013, a line for the production of chipboard and chipboard was modernized and launched in Elektrogorsk. For production of the enterprise in Elektrogorsk the new Russian chipboard brand is developed. 2014 was the year of the running line for the production of building OSB (oriented strand board). The total investment amounted to about 854 million euros, 726 jobs were created.
