Kama pulpmill started LWC paper production

Kama pulp and paper mill has completed the testing of the line producing light-weight coated paper and started industrial production, Kommersant-Perm paper reported.

The company has been testing production since May 2013. During this time, technologists have released all types of products, including glossy paper. The tests verified the ability of the paper machine #7 to produce 55,000 tonnes of paper per year, while its rated capacity is 86,000 tonnes.

At present, the enterprise produces 2,500-3,000 tonnes of paper monthly, the load of the line does not exceed 30%. In the first quarter of 2014, the company intends to hold setting of BM7 under the requirements of the customers.

In the beginning of the year Investlesprom holding sold Kama PPM to a group of investors headed by the mill’s General Director Sergei Starodubtsev.
