Kagazy Recycling launched the first bleached board mill in Kazakhstan

12 September 2013 ` 22:43

Kagazy Recycling experts announced the start of commercial production of mottled bleached board of BT-1 brand, which serves as a raw material for the production of corrugated products. Previously imported from Russia, mottled bleached board will now be produced in Kazakhstan and will therefore become more accessible to the domestic consumers.

Over a period of three months a group of plant-operating engineers under the supervision of the head of paper and corrugated cardboard production Talgat Azhibekov examined raw materials composition, looked into the characteristics of production technologies, studied the procedures of standardization and certification of bleached board and did other preparatory work.

Initially the company plans to produce 300 tonnes of bleached board monthly, later expanding to 500 tonnes monthly.

Kagazy Recycling is a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Kagazy JSC and produces paper and packaging from recycled material. Kagazy Recycling holds over 50% of the market in Kazakhstan, being the largest paper and packaging producer in Central Asia.
