Perm Pulp and Paper Mill: virgin wood fiber can withstand up to eight recycling cycles, and this number can be increased to 12 by stock sizing

Perm Pulp and Paper Mill conducted a study to identify the life cycles of corrugated cardboard. The company’s laboratory proved that corrugated cardboard can be recycled for up to 12 times, whereupon the fiber becomes unfit for use.

The company reports that over the past 20 years, the share of recycled grade MS-5B waste paper (corrugated cardboard) reached 90% in Russia. About 4 million tons of waste paper are submitted to recycling every year.
