INFOBIO: over 6,000 workers in the Russian wood pellet industry may lose their jobs

As of July 10, the export of wood pellets to the European Union, which used to consume 90% of wood pellets made in Russia, stopped. Over 6,000 people employed in the wood pellet industry may lose their jobs because of that, reports INFOBIO informational & analytics agency.

According to INFOBIO and the United Bioenergy Association, about 600 companies employing over 6,000 people are involved in wood pellets production in Russia.
