LLC “Hasslacherles” plans to invest 1.5 billion rubles in the modernization of existing production facilities for deep processing of wood materials in Malovishersky district in the creation of a new production of glued laminated timber elements and timber construction. The information is confirmed by the government of the Novgorod region.
On Monday, February 25, 2019, in the framework of the meeting of the Council for the improvement of the investment climate, an agreement was signed on the additional provision of wood for existing production facilities. Document assured the Governor Andrei Nikitin, General Director, LLC “Hasslacherles” Gerhard Kirchmair, General Director of LLC “UPM-Kymmene Chudovo” Anatoliy Zhukovets and General Director of LLC “IKEA Industry Novgorod” Dmitry Almukhametov.
The investment project of the company “Hasslacherles” within six months, the investment project will be a priority, and the company will be able to rent a forest plot, which will develop all three companies. Also in the framework of the agreement on the new enterprise “Hasslacherles” will create at least 65 new jobs with a priority attraction of labor resources in the Novgorod region. The document is valid for three years from the date of signing.
For “UPM-Kymmene Chudovo” requires plywood birch ridge, “IKEA Industry Novgorod” uses birch and softwood. Thus, the forest area in the Novgorod region will be used as much as possible. At the same time, the investor is obliged to restore the damage and conduct the planting of coniferous trees on this site.
“This agreement will help us to use our forest resources more effectively. At the same time, the investor should leave behind a new forest with valuable coniferous wood. Such a case is one of the first in Russia when several enterprises unite and realize their interests, which do not intersect because the parties work with different raw materials,”– Andrei Nikitin said.
