In the Khabarovsk territory it will be a new enterprise for processing low-grade wood

The project involves the use of more than 3 million m3 of low-grade wood and wood waste with further export of finished products to China. Junling (China Forestry Group Corporation), which is one of the largest corporations in China’s timber industry, is planning to implement the project.

The structure of the Corporation includes 150 enterprises around the world, it is the largest Chinese industrial Corporation with an international presence. The main foreign partners are New Zealand, Russia, Canada, South-East Asia.

To launch the project, private investors are expected to participate with borrowed financing from financial institutions and banks of China and Russia. The co-investor of the project can be the “Russian-Chinese Investment Fund For Regional development”. The Far East agency for attracting investments and supporting exports (ANO API) is ready to assist in the implementation of the project.

“At the moment, an assessment of forest resources and export potential of the project has been carried out. It is planned to develop project documentation. The Agency will assist in the implementation of the project, including the search for raw materials necessary for the implementation of the project, registration of land plots, obtaining a construction permit, the purchase of a construction site. As one of the sites for the placement of production, the Khabarovsk territory is considered,” – said Leonid Petukhov, General Director of ANO API.
