As reported on the official portal of the Government of the Vologda region, the workshop for the production of pellets – wood fuel pellets – will be launched on the basis of one of the largest enterprises for the production of lumber in the Vologda region. LLC “Harovsklesprom”, which is part of the group of companies” Vologda timber industry”, December 19, visited the Deputy Governor of the region Mikhail Glazkov.
“The company is implementing a priority investment project, which started in 2012. For six years, a large-scale reconstruction has been carried out here, new production sites have been built. The pellet production shop is the final stage of the project, ” Mikhail Glazkov said. – Let me remind you that on behalf of the Governor it is necessary to increase the share of processed products in the region from today’s 70% to 90%. The new project performs this task. The main raw material for the production of wood pellets are sawdust, which used to be a by-product. The launch of such a line will make the production waste-free. On the one hand – the problem of disposal, on the other– there is a new product that is now in demand in the market. In addition, it is the receipt of additional funds to the regional and municipal budgets in the form of taxes”.
The equipment for the shop has already been purchased and installed, now there are commissioning. It is planned that it will produce 36 thousand tons of pellets per year. The level of automation of the shop is high, about 20 people will work here. As the General Director of the group of companies “Vologodskyie lesopromyshlenniki” Andrei Konoplev said, the launch of production is scheduled for January 2019. As part of the investment project, the company carried out a large-scale reconstruction of the entire production complex. New buildings have been built, a new sawmill line, sorting lines for logs, raw and dry lumber, and a continuous drying complex have been installed. The volume of investments amounted to more than 2 billion rubles. More than 300 local residents work here.
