In the Vologda region timber producers exported products worth more than 56 billion rubles

According to the press service of the government of the Vologda region, all timber enterprises of the region last year shipped products worth more than 56.3 billion rubles, which is 15 billion rubles more than last year, in percentage terms, an increase of 42%.

According to Roman Markov, head of the Forestry Department of the region, “the timber industry shows positive dynamics. Investment projects in the field of forest development are actively implemented. In total, 22 investment projects are being implemented in the region. Of these, the Ministry of industry and trade of Russia fully implemented 11 projects, including last year 4 projects (NAO “Sveza-Innovator”, JSC “CHFMK”, LLC “Innovatorsky LPK”, JSC “Belozerskles”)”.

Export growth was recorded for several types of products of deep processing of wood: plywood – 6%, chipboard – 48%, fiberboard – 17%, lumber – 14%”, – Roman Markov said.

There is an increase in production for all major types of forest products. In the coming years, there will be an increase in the production of birch plywood. The share of processing of wood harvested in the region is 75%. Only low-grade balance wood is exported outside the region. Actively developing wooden house building. Production of wooden houses of factory production in 2018 amounted to 54.5 thousand square meters of total area. The growth rate was 134%.

The regional budget of the forest industry enterprises transferred 4.5 billion rubles, including 3.4 billion rubles of tax deductions; 1.1 billion rubles of forest income.

The established reforestation plan for 2018 was 72.0 thousand hectares. As a result of the activities carried out, reforestation in the region was carried out on an area of 75.2 thousand hectares, which is 104% of the established plan. In 2018, the number of illegal logging in the region decreased by 17% compared to 2017 (from 426 to 355), the volume of illegal logging decreased by 51 % (from 79 to 38.4 thousand cubic meters).
