Germany: Price of pellets up 9.1% YoY in October 2021

Seasonally driven, the price of pellets rose in Germany in October 2021. The average for one ton is €248.08 (purchase of 6 t). The survey by the German Pellet Institute (DEPI) shows an increase of 4.8% compared to September 2021 and 9.1% compared to the previous year.

In October 2021, the following regional differences arise in the price of wood pellets (purchase quantity 6 t): In Central Germany, pellets cost 243.55 € / t and are, as in the previous month, the cheapest. In North / East Germany the average price per ton is €248.96, in South Germany €249.02.

Larger quantities (26 t) will be traded in October 2021 at the following conditions: south: 236.86 € / t, center: 226.16 € / t, north / east: 233.60 € / t (all including VAT) .
