German pellet prices fall again significantly in February 2023

17 February 2023 ` 19:45

The price of wood pellets fell sharply again in Germany in February and is still well below that of oil and gas. According to the German Pellet Institute (DEPI), one tonne costs €428.52 on average across Germany. That is 14.1% less than in the previous month and 14.6% more than in February 2022.

Households that heat with wood pellets and want to take advantage of the federal government’s energy price brake subsidy will have to be patient. So far, applications can only be made in Berlin.
