Equipment for MDF production will be VAT exempt

The list of equipment whose import will be exempt from the Value-Added Tax (VAT) now includes a line of equipment (including spare parts and components) required for MDF production. The corresponding Decree was signed by Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government.

This concerns process equipment with no counterparts produced in Russia. Exempting such equipment from VAT is supposed to reduce the diversion of working capital by companies that use such equipment.
