Construction of a new timber processing plant for 400 million rubles is planned in the Vologda Region

The new timber processing venue is supposed to be created at the premises of Veliky Ustyug Forestry – a branch of ACS of Vologdaleskhoz Forestry.

The facility is supposed to produce dry planed sawn timber; raw material will be sawn on imported equipment. The project investment value is about 400 million rubles. Up to 50 new jobs will be created; there will be 2 sawmilling shifts. First production lines are supposed to be started up in 2022.

The Veliky Ustyug area is the third stage of creating woodworking production facilities within an investment project by ACS of Vologdaleskhoz Forestry; the first stage is being successfully implemented in the Syamzhensky District; the second one, in the Totemsky District.

Vologdaleskhoz is an institution subordinate to the Department of Timber Industry of the Vologda Region. The institution has 27 branches within the region.
