Chunsky LPK in search for investor for pellet line

9 August 2013 ` 14:03

Chunsky LPK mill in collaboration with DozaGran company (Nizhny Novgorod) has developed a pellet project with daily processing of 12-13 m3 of wood into 3 t of pellets. Project cost is RUR 13 million. The line’s rated capacity will be enough to utilize all mill’s wood wastes and procure third-party biomass as well.

“We plan to place the new line in the former particleboard department premises,” Chief Executive Viktor Vaupshas said.

One tonne of pellets will require around 5 m3 of wood waste. The project has become possible, as two large processors of wood waste stopped production, namely Biryusa and Tulun hydrolysis plants.

Project financing is now terminated, as the mill does not have free funds for it, but the company management is searching for an investor at the moment.
