Pilomaterialy Krasnyi Oktyabr to launch new sawmill line in May 2013

Perm, January 17. In May 2013, Pilomaterialy Krasnyi Oktyabr company (Perm region) is going to launch new sawmill line. Investments into the project exceeded 700 million Rubles (€17.4 million) and were mainly funded with state support.

Sweden’s Söderhamn Eriksson AB already started the equipment delivery process. New feeder, debarking and sawing lines will be installed, as well as combined sorting and waste removal lines.

Equipment will be mounted from late January to mid-May 2013. After this, test run of the whole production line will be performed. Once efficiency and quality tests are finished, industrial production will start. First orders are scheduled to be rendered in June 2013.

After carrying out this project, the company will double its lumber production up to 120,000 cu m annually.
