Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia: Russian furniture enterprises may lose 10 billion rubles in 2020

The Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia asks the Government to reintroduce the ban on purchasing foreign furniture for public use and to renew Decree No. 1072 which earlier prohibited public and municipal institutions from buying furniture of foreign origin. The mentioned decree expired on November 30, 2019.

In 2018, furniture worth over 14 billion rubles was purchased for public needs under government contracts, which is 15% of the total furniture output produced in Russia.
