Kemerovo Woodworking Plant (part of Altailes) continues implementing a previously announced new MDF production venue with a capacity of 250,000 m³ per year in the Kirovsky District of Kemerovo, as reported by Interfax referencing the regional Ministry of Economic Development. The investment value will reach 3.5 billion rubles, 3.2 billion out of which is capital investment (in June 2022, the investment was estimated at 2.6 billion rubles). According to Ivan Klyuchnikov, Director General at Altailes, the area of the main production shop will exceed 40,000 m²; the auxiliary facilities will be built, and over 250 jobs will be created.

The investment project, which is included in the list of priority investment projects, is scheduled for implementation from Q2 2024 to Q3 2026. The company will also receive (without bidding) a lease on a land plot for construction and around 500,000 ha with the annual allowable cut of 1 million m³.
