A state company for roundwood export will be established in Russia by the end of 2021

Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Envoy in the Far East, declared that the state company for roundwood export will start operations by the end of 2021. He also announced the plans of creating a working group to develop proposals on improving the efficiency of attracting investment in the timber industry.

“We must establish this company so that it starts operations this year, because roundwood export from the Russian territory will be banned as of next year,” Yury Trutnev said following a meeting in Chita devoted to timber industry development in the Far East. According to him, the company’s model is currently being determined; it will be completed within a month.
