Russia has sharply increased the import of Turkish furniture

3 August 2022 ` 17:05

Russia is increasing imports of furniture from Turkey. The import of these products for the first six months of 2022 increased by 88.1% and reached $65 million. At the same time, according to the Anadolu agency, experts believe that the demand for Turkish furniture in Russia will only continue to grow.

This is largely facilitated by the sanctions imposed by the West on Russia and the departure of the Swedish furniture company IKEA from the Russian market.

Russia is also increasing imports of paper and forestry products from Turkey.

However, the export of Turkish furniture has also increased to such countries as France, the USA and Germany.
