Luke: in Finland, wood fuel use reaches record highs over year

Wood fuel consumption in the country reached record levels. The burning of wood chips and by-products of the forest industry, as well as wood waste at thermal power plants increased compared to the previous year. Luke says that in 2019, thermal power plants consumed just over 20 million м³ of solid wood fuel. Consumption increased by 2% per year, which allowed to generate 39 TWh of energy.
