Lesosibirsk LDK to launch new sawmilling complex

20 June 2013 ` 02:40

The official opening ceremony of a new sawmilling complex at Lesosibirsk LDK-1 (Krasnoyarsk region) is scheduled for 20 June. Annual raw wood consumption at the mill will grow to Russia’s record 1.5 million m3. Until recently, the mill worked at the equipment installed in the 60s. Full replacement of the complex will increase production capacity by 50%, lower costs considerably and improve product quality.

Two new feeding lines are installed, as well as two debarking machines and two sawmilling lines – Hew Saw R200 and Hew Saw SL250 Trio, two Heinola wet lumber sorting lines, equipment for waste removal and sorting, and maintenance machines. The company also repaired premises with total area of 8,000 m2 and built a new power substation.

General equipment supplier of this project was Estonian company Hekotek. Apart from that, the company installed machinery of Veisto Oy, Heinola Oy, Valon Kone Oy (Finland) and Vollmer Werke Maschinenfabrik GmbH (Germany).
