According to the press service of the Governor of the Kostroma region on March 18, 2019, in January 2019 there was an increase in the growth rate of production at most leading industrial enterprises of the Kostroma region. According to Kostromastat growth was 5.3% compared to the same period last year.

Experts noted an increase in the production of wood products by 9.3%.

Also, the volume of products manufactured by woodworking industries has increased. In particular, the number of produced particle boards increased 1.6 times compared to the same period in 2018. The leader of this direction is the enterprise “SWISS KRONO”. In General, according to the results of the first month of 2019, wood processing enterprises increased their own volumes of sawn timber production by 11.5% by the beginning of 2018.
