US lumber prices are rallying again, scaling toward their highest level in seven months

Increasingly significantly over the end of 2021, for the week ending January 07, 2022, the price of benchmark construcition framing dimension softwood lumber item Western S-P-F 2×4 #2&Btr KD (RL) was $1,100 mfbm, reports Madison’s Lumber Reporter. This is up by +$150, or +16%, from the previous week when it was $950.

That week’s price is up by +$297, or +37%, from one month ago when it was $803. Compared to the same week one year ago, when it was $944, that week’s price is up by +$156, or +17%.
