The use of forest resources brought 42 million rubles to the budget of Dagestan

In 2018, the established plan for collecting payments for the use of forest land was implemented by 103%, about 42 million rubles were transferred to the consolidated budget. Also, annually planned indicators for care felling and sanitary and health measures have been fulfilled. Thinning, continuous and selective sanitary cuttings were carried out on the area of 460.3 hectares, the volume of wood harvested from them amounted to 4.6 thousand m3.

Head of the Forestry Department of the southern Federal district Petr Kostenich noted the positive work of the Committee in recent years, drew attention to the need to return to the legal use of forest areas on the coast of the Caspian sea and invited the Committee to participate in investment projects that can raise the profitability of the use of forest land.

One of the main tasks of forestry workers is to prevent forest fires. This was reported by the press service Of the Committee on Forestry of the Republic of Dagestan.
